Context

Strong gravitational lensing provides a key observational window on the properties of dark matter on the one hand, and cosmology on the other hand. These applications require an accurate modelling of strong-lensing systems.

During this workshop, we aim to cover cutting-edge topics in strong gravitational lensing, including:

  • challenges in lens-mass modelling;
  • line-of-sight corrections and their applications;
  • multi-plane and compound lens systems;
  • sub-halo and line-of-sight halo searches;
  • wave-optics effects.

Rationale

The general philosophy is: few talks, much work together. The programme will thus be quite light, leaving ample room for formal and informal discussions.

Participation is free of charge, and we can provide financial support for some of the participants, with priority given to early-career researchers. Note that participation will be moderated by the organising committee.

When you register, please tell us whether there are specific topics that you would like to feature in this workshop. Let us know also how you would like to contribute to this event (talk, chairing a discussion, organising tutorial sessions, etc.)

After registration, you may use the Submit contribution tab to make more specific propositions.

Important dates
